I’ve Got Joy
-
We’re rejoicing in celebration, lifting voices in jubilation,
He has filled our hearts with gladness and joy!
I once was a slave to sin, but I ain’t going back to where I’ve been,
‘Cause Jesus bought my freedom with His blood;
That’s a mighty high price He paid for me, But it’s true,
He died on Calvary, and I’ll forever owe a debt of gratitude;
For this joy! I’ve got joy!
He gave me joy! Real Joy!
I gave Him sorrow, He gave me gladness,
He gave me peace for all my sadness,
He has filled my heart with gladness and joy;
I once was blind, but now I see, He set my soul at liberty,
‘Cause Jesus bought my freedom with His blood;
So now I leave behind my seat,
I clap my hands and I stomp my feet,
And I’ll forever owe a debt of gratitude,
For this joy! I’ve got joy!
He gave me joy! Real Joy!
The joy of the Lord is my strength in time of sorrow,
The joy of the Lord is my strength for tomorrow,
The joy of the Lord is my strength and now I owe Him,
The joy of the Lord is my strength so let the praise begin!
We’re rejoicing in celebration, lifting voices in jubilation,
For this gift of joy we lift a shout of praise,
We gave Him sorrow, He gave us gladness,
He gave us peace for all our sadness,
The Son has set us free, not we are free indeed;
It’s time to leave behind your seat,
Come on and get up and stomp your feet,
Today we dance because we have no wings to fly;
We’ve got joy! – We have no wings;
We’ve got joy! – So we move our feet;
We’ve got joy! – No, we can’t fly;
We’ve got joy! – So we dance with all our might!
